Hunter Westin Rand

Let’s get a little more serious: Hunter Westin Rand is the managing partner and co-founder of Eddy Westin and Company, a film production and creative services agency. With a diverse professional background, Hunter has a unique blend of creative and technical expertise. He is an award-winning filmmaker with a passion for storytelling and a talent for bringing complex ideas to life on the big, and small, screen.

In addition to his film and television production work, Hunter is an accomplished international traveler and adventurer. He has visited numerous countries, living abroad for extended periods of time, immersing himself in different cultures and gaining a wealth of life experience.

As a leading expert on NDI technology and deployments, Hunter is skilled at designing complex installations for studios and other media organizations. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from the University of Nevada, Reno, with a Minor in Art Studio where he specialized in new manufacturing techniques utilizing tools ranging from laser cutters to 3D printers. He also completed Nevada’s DoI/SCATS Safety and Health Practitioner program in 2023.

Previously Hunter worked as the Lead Cinematographer and Editor at the Center for Student Engagement at the University of Nevada, Reno, the Director of Social Media and Multimedia Specialist at Nevada Women’s Basketball, and CTE Video Production Instructor for the Washoe County School District. Additionally Hunter also worked as a freelance technical consultant before co-founding Eddy Westin and Company.

On a personal note, Hunter resides in Sparks, Nevada with his wife Cheyann and two dogs. Recently Hunter went all in on electric vehicles, as now Cheyann and him now use two electric cars as their daily drivers. Additionally, they also own and maintain a classic truck that is a frequent participant in local events and parades.
