Mobile Production Trailer

Production Suite One (Summer 2022)

Production Suite One (PS1), available to clients beginning Summer 2022, is a 29-foot long IP-based production trailer the serves Eddy Westin and Company in a dual role. The primary role of PS1 is to serve clients as an outside broadcast trailer, featuring eight workstations for a technical director, audio engineer, character generator, and more! In addition to eight workstations the trailer features its own restroom, and a medium sized sound booth that measures 6’ 6” x 7’ 4” in size. With four-to-six (TBD) cameras on board the trailer, and featuring 40 Gbe networking and fiber based auxiliary networking PS1 has the capability to ingest up to 100 live sources utilizing NDI technology, in addition to 32 channels of audio via Dante.

The secondary role of PS1 is that of a mobile production office. With a restroom, a sound booth, desk space for eight crew members, and plenty of electrical power via batteries, generators, and shore power, PS1 can help speed up complicated productions and offer shelter to sensitive equipment in challenging weather situations - hot or cold.

PS1 is based in Reno, Nevada but is available anywhere within the contiguous United States with enough notice.

  • Special events, concerts, and conferences are sometimes once in a lifetime experiences for some guests, participants, and staff members. With the way of the world, hybrid events that combine in-person elements as wall as virtual and remote elements are becoming more and more common and even necessary. PS1 can not only produce and stream your in-person event, but can produce and stream virtual events as well as hybrid events.

  • Visiting Northern Nevada? The beautiful landscapes, casinos, and cities commonly attract film crews for all types of productions. PS1 features a monitor wall, room for eight crewmembers with desk space, a sound booth, up to 10kW of generator capacity for equipment and computers in addition to UPS units for sensitive equipment - PS1 can truly be your home away from home.

PS1 also features a restroom, accessible through the trailer via the sound booth in addition to an external door. This allows you to segregate this restroom for your trailer-based crewmembers or to make it available to your entire crew.

  • Natural disasters, public safety incidents, and more; our trailer enables you to host high quality comprehensive press conferences on location, from the shores of Lake Tahoe to the roadsides of Washoe Valley, and beyond. PS1 has the ability to stream your press conferences, town halls, etc., to your website, YouTube channel, or any television station that can accept an NDI 5, SRT, or RTMP stream.

Additionally, we can bring in feeds featuring live closed captioning and/or ASL interpreters for auxiliary feeds in real-time, ensuring your message reaches as many people as possible.

In remote areas and during certain weather conditions that may arise, PS1 can even serve as a temporary work space for your public relations staff, and a limited number of media. With high speed internet and enough electrical power for heaters, ACs, laptops, phones, and more, we hope PS1 can help you better serve your community.

For established public safety clients in Carson City, Douglas County, Storey County, and Washoe County, Nevada, PS1 is available on short notice.

  • It is easier now more than ever to engage with your community through live, high quality, streams and broadcasts of city council meetings, city events, townhalls, and more. Access to government is a core tenet of American Democracy.

Some meetings and events are procedural with plenty of room in council chambers for everyone who wants to watch and participate, while other meetings are controversial, running short on seats and room for everyone who wants to watch, listen, and have their voice heard. Make live video part of your meetings and increase access to your government entity for your community.

  • Technology and accessibility is always changing, leading to an increased demand in livestreamed events, including high school and college graduations, sports at all levels, and more. PS1 reduces setup time for control room equipment and infrastructure reducing labor costs; labor costs can be further reduced by piggybacking on an existing wired network in your facility, in addition to supplementing wired cameras with wireless transmission systems.

In addition to livestreaming your event, PS1 can also deliver a live video feed to any television station that can accept an NDI 5, SRT, or RTMP stream. PS1 can also create auxiliary feeds featuring live closed captioning, an ASL interpreter, or even live audio translations to any number of languages. PS1 can also return a live video feed to the venue for IMAG.

Carrier-Grade Infrastructure

Internet for Media Services (Summer 2022)

Beginning in Summer 2022, to accompany Production Suite One and other offerings, Eddy Westin and Company will begin offering non-traditional internet connections for professional media services, such as SRT, NDI 5 bridge feeds, RTMP streams, VOIP phones associated with a live production, and more. To mitigate problems with interference, bonded internet with parity is provided via satellite, fiber, cable, and cellular connections assisted by 2.4 GHz, 5.0 GHz, and 60 GHz PtP and PtMP transmission equipment. With the failover protection the bonded parity inherently provides, these internet connections can be maintained in even the toughest situations.

This service is only meant to provide short-term internet for production related purposes executed by media professionals.

  • Large events attract lots of people, which means cellphones, and heavy data traffic. Sometimes this can lead to unreliable internet for video feeds to your point of distribution. Having dedicated internet that utilizes spectrums not used by cellular devices and Wi-Fi mean that you can have your own connection that you can trust and control.

  • Who knows where your next on-location press conference could be? Maybe you’re at a local high school coordinating fire fighting activities, or managing road closures due to accidents or weather. We can provide internet almost anywhere in the contiguous United States, even when there isn’t a cellular connection.

Let us worry about internet and data, so you can focus on your messaging and public safety.

  • We understand how security policies can restrict the usefulness and utility of networks and internet at government buildings and schools. The easiest and fastest way to get around restrictions that can affect video transmission is to setup a dedicated internet connection for your live video feeds for streaming distribution or even distribution to TV stations.
